Individual counseling

My goal is to help people create positive change in their lives. Although I tailor the therapy to fit your particular concerns, in general I employ a cognitive-behavioral and interpersonal approach that focuses on thoughts, emotions, and relational patterns. I also encourage people in developing better physical habits and I often teach mindfulness meditation techniques to aid in relaxation and coping skills.

I believe in a collaborative approach and I will work with you to:

  • Identify negative patterns that bring distress to you and others
  • Develop the skills or strategies necessary for change
  • Apply these skills or strategies to improve emotional health and build more satisfying relationships

My areas of specialty include:

  • Depression
  • Anxiety, including:
    • Panic Attacks
    • Phobias
    • Obsessive-compulsive Disorder (OCD)
    • Post-traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD)
    • Social Anxiety
    • Stress Management
  • Relationship Issues
  • Spiritual/Religious Issues
